Ocho Rios, Jamaica, 1 July 2026 — Jamaica's tourism industry paused to celebrate the individuals and organisations whose vision, innovation and unwavering commitment continue to define the country's global reputation as a premier destination, as the Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association (JHTA) staged its prestigious Awards Luncheon during the Association's 65th Annual General Meeting and Tourism Forum on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Held at Sandals Dunn's River, the ceremony brought together tourism leaders, government officials, hoteliers, attractions, airlines, allied partners and industry stakeholders for an afternoon dedicated to recognising those whose work has elevated Jamaica's tourism product and strengthened one of the country's most important economic sectors.

The awards represented the highest honours bestowed by the JHTA, celebrating exceptional leadership, service, sustainability, innovation and partnership across every segment of the industry.

Newly elected JHTA President O'Brian Heron said the ceremony reflected the values that have made Jamaica's tourism industry one of the country's greatest success stories.  "Our industry has never been built by buildings alone—it has been built by people. The individuals and organisations we honour today represent the very best of Jamaican tourism. Their leadership, innovation, resilience and commitment to excellence continue to strengthen our destination, inspire confidence and create opportunities for thousands of Jamaicans. As the JHTA looks to the future, we remain committed to recognising those who lead by example while ensuring that every member has a strong voice in shaping the future of our industry," Heron said.
