The Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association (JHTA) is heartbroken by the passing of our cherished colleague and Public Relations Consultant, Marcia Erskine. Marcia wasn’t just an employee; for over 25 years, she was a vital part of our JHTA family.
Her dedication to Jamaican tourism was unparalleled. With a deep understanding of our vibrant hospitality sector, Marcia wasn’t just a PR guru, she was a champion. Her strategic insights were invaluable, guiding countless stakeholders through both sunny days and stormy weather. In times of crisis, Marcia’s calm and steady hand was a beacon of strength.
But Marcia’s impact went beyond the strategic. She possessed a genuine warmth and infectious enthusiasm that touched everyone she met. Her smile could light up a room, and her laughter was a constant reminder of the joy she found in her work and the people she worked with.
Marcia’s passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. We will miss her wisdom, her guidance, and her friendship.
