JAMAICA PRODUCT EXCHANGE (JAPEX) 2015 SET TO FOCUS ON EASTERN EUROPE, THE CARIBBEAN AND LATIN AMERICA

Montego Bay Convention Centre to host leading business forum for tour operators, wholesalers and travel agents

KINGSTON, JAMAICA – August 19, 2015 – The 25th annual Jamaica Product Exchange (JAPEX), set to take place at Montego Bay Convention Centre from September 20-22, 2015 will place special focus on the markets of Eastern Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America. A one-of-a-kind exhibition, JAPEX is the island’s premier travel trade show and serves as a forum for leading Jamaican suppliers of the island’s tourism product to meet with travel wholesalers and tour operators.

Registration is now underway for the travel trade show hosted by the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA) and the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), which will again feature the industry seminars and the tourism linkages hub. Last year’s JAPEX attendance featured 113 buyers along with 277 participants from 105 supplier companies, and approximately 30 media members from the U.S., Canada, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association (JHTA) congratulates Mr Adam Stewart

The Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association (JHTA) congratulates Mr Adam Stewart, Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chairman of Sandals Resorts International and the ATL Group and 2nd Vice President at the JHTA on his award of Caribbean Hotelier of the Year received today at the Caribbean Hospitality Industry Exchange Forum (CHIEF) held October 2-4, 2015 in Puerto Rico.

At the JHTA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in June 2015 at the Hilton Rose Hall Hotel in Montego Bay, Adam received the JHTA Hotelier of the Year award. He was selected by his peers who undoubtedly agreed that Adam has done an exemplary job of ensuring that visitors, from all over the world, to the Sandals properties receive the best in accommodations, relaxation and offerings that are desired by persons locally, regionally and internationally. Adam is not only an outstanding hotelier, but he also has a passion for community service and environmental presentation, which are the focus of the Sandals Foundation.
